I have lost over 40lbs, maintained my weight-loss, and have continued to live a healthy lifestyle. These are my tips to get you started on a successful weight-loss journey!
Just Do It!
Don’t try to eat healthy, don’t try to exercise just do it! This sounds simple but we get caught up in our busy lifestyles and end up just “trying.” You want to eat healthy? Do it! You want to exercise? Do it!
Have a Plan!
How do you plan on exercising and eating more healthy meals? You need some sort of plan. You don’t have to be a professional;planing a healthy meal can be as simple as making a healthy grocery list or packing your lunch. Want to exercise more plan a time and do it! Walk, run, jog, dance, or go to the gym!
My definition of eating clean is eating fresh foods. All your meals should include fresh fruits, vegetables, Meat (for those of us who eat meat), and healthy grains. This makes eating healthy easier then trying to find low fat, low calorie, etc…, processed food that is not that great for you! You can never make a wrong choice with fresh foods!
Exercising is important to your weight loss. Don’t forget to add it to your daily regime! Do exercises that you enjoy such as: dancing, going to the gym, exercise at home, exercising with a friend etc…if you enjoy it then you will do it! You should try to exercise at minimum 3x a week for at least 30minutes.
Don’t waste your calories on juice, pop, or alcohol…Drink plenty and only water! Water has so many amazing benefits, one of them being more calories that can be used for food lol! Also, water helps to reduce bloating and cleanses your body.
Along with weighing yourself take pictures of your progress! Pictures allow you to visually monitor your weight-loss. Sometimes the scale is a LIAR lol! Pictures really show the good, bad, and the ugly. So don’t hide from the camera have a photo shoot! Its the best motivation!
Sometimes you eat bad food or miss a workout…it’s okay, relax! The key to a successful weight-loss journey is finding your balance. If you eat clean and exercise majority of the time a few brownies and skipping a workout will not hurt!
